We all know Jay-Z is arguable the richest rapper in the game. He has made it to the point where he has brunch with the likes of Warren Buffet…and even U.S President, Barack Obama. That is a great achievement for a black man that was still living in the housing project about14 years ago. But, my question is- Is Jay-z happily married? We all know he is married to the self-acclaimed Queen of r&b, Beyonce. They started dating in 2002, and finally got married in 2008. It is no question that their union was a match made in heaven; the most successful rapper, hitching his equivalent in the r&b genre. But what happens at home when the music stops?
Earlier in the year, on Valentine’s Day to be precise, the shocking news that they had started living separately hit the internet. B was seen dining with another female celebrity on lovers’ day- where was jay-z? One thing about being a celebrity of the magnitude of Jay and B is that you cannot make a move without the whole world knowing. So, the news finally got out that Jay was now staying away from his wife in L.A. The story was that the couple felt the temporal separation would re-ignite the fire of love between them, and give both of them time to think on the way forward in their marriage. But the 411 is that there is a little disagreement which has to do with having kids. Apparently, Jay-Z wants kids, but Beyonce is not ready for that. She feels that her top priority now is her career, and that children would hinder her life-long goal. She feels the time for kids would come, maybe when she finally retires. But when will that be? She is clocking 30 this year, and jay is already 41.I have a philosophy that anything any man does in his life; whether he is working 9 hours a day, or robbing a bank, or chasing his passion, is for one goal- happiness. Now, if you now get everything that you want in life, but you are still not happy, because the thing that is meant to be the simplest (sharing all that with the one you love with mutual understanding), then I feel you are not totally successful.
Through my study of what brings about total peace of mind and happiness in man, I found out that the combination of love, romance and sex does the magic. I look at jay-z’s life, and I am wondering, does he get the right doses of this three in his life? With the way his wife tours, works tirelessly for perfection of one musical video after the other, and all the numerous business she has to attend to; does she have any time and energy left for her husband? If you would ask me, I would say she is in love with her work.
I watched a recent jay-z interview, and when he was asked about having kids, he tried to dodge the question. He talked about how much he liked them (kids), but he didn’t want to give the real reason why he and B didn’t have any. He sounded very passionate while talking, and it was clear that he might have all the money in the world, but a child of his own was one thing he longed for at the moment. And one more thing; a lot of people like to ignore the role of sex in marriage, but it is a very strong factor of deciding whether the marriage goes smoothly or hits the rock.
From my study of the role sex, romance and love play in a relationship, I know that as long as these are lacking in any union, there would definitely be negative implications. You might find the couple arguing over little things that are meant to be over-looked; hate might start building up between the two parties; and the worst, they would start to become distant, to the point that they might just be like two strangers living in their own house.
I respect jay-z; I use his story as a testimony that anything is possible. But my question still remains- Is Jay-Z happily married? I would like to read what you guys think about that.
