Former North American Bureau Chief of The Guardian, Laolu Akande has been appointed as the spokesman of Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.
Laolu Akande is regarded as the longest serving African correspondent at the United Nations and the only Nigerian journalist to interview a sitting American President at the White House when he interviewed George Bush.
The list of those he has interviewed include, Billionaire Microsoft founder, Bill Gates and property magnate, Donald Trump, General Collin Powell and several African leaders and heads of states.
Laolu has resumed duty and is seen in this photo in a warm embrace with Mr. Bayo Obisesan (R) at a parley with state house correspondents at the presidential villa.
