How your cosmetics could be causing early menopause............

Well this is slightly scary but it has been decided that Phthalates are actually dangerous after all.

Phthalates, for those who are confused, are chemicals which are found in most household cleaning products, plastics and erm, cosmetics.

Some cosmetic companies are claiming that they are Phthalates free and making a big song and dance about it. But how dangerous are they? what do they do?

They cause early menopause in women by about 2.3 years. Women normally hit menopause around 50/51 but with this new research, its claimed women are hitting menopause earlier at
48/49.

Not only that they cause women to age quicker by causing problems with bone density, strokes and heart problems - eeeeek!

In some women it has been reported that menopause started fifteen years earlier then normal. That means having all the hot flushes and grim sweats in your mid thirties. PHthalates can also be found in food which has been processed.

I find this incredibly scary - as anyone who works in my industry would. Just another reason to check the label and ingrediants of your cosmetics before you buy.............
