Sindisiwe's defence at the court through her affidavit was that she was acting in self defence against Nkululeko Habedi known as Flabba as he brutally attacked her. A medical certificate was also submitted to support her claim.
Sindisiwe showed the court the stitches on her wrist, a stab wound on her stomach and a bruise on her leg.
Her lawyer argued that she is not a flight risk and will not interfere with witnesses and the State had a weak case against her.
The state prosecutor Percy Ramushu was against granting Sindisiwe bail but in the event that she is granted bail, it should be set at R10,000 and she should report twice a week on Wednesday and Friday between 06:00 -08:00 to the nearest police station.
The magistrate granted bail to Sindisiwe on the grounds that she was a first offender stating "There have been no reports that Manqele harmed herself after first incident where she cut herself. There's also been no indication at this stage that Manqele attempted to interfere with witnesses"
The magistrate also added that after such a tragic incidence, it was normal for people to get so emotional and that Manqele's injuries were too extensive to be all self inflicted.
The case was adjourned to 13th May 2015.
Flabba was laid to rest on Sunday. Friends, Family and fans gathered at Alexandra Stadium to bid him farewell.
