Business As Usual In Congress

Yep. It is BUSINESS AS USUAL FROM CONGRESS. Okay people, farm subsidies can be a good thing for the farmers and the public at times. Programs such as the disaster insurance that insures crops against foods and droughts help keep the farmers in business during the bad years. But for the most part the subsidies only serve to keep the marginal producer in business when a better farmer could have made better use of the land.

Agriculture is a tough way to make a living. The days are gone forever when a man could make a living for his family with 160 acres and a couple of mules. The facts are if one has the money to buy the farm and land and the equipment needed to work it and make it pay enough for a living 0ne can put that money in the bank at three percent and earn more without the headaches of farming/ranching. But that doesn't mean there is not big bucks in farming..especially when the politicians want to take YOUR tax dollar to subsidize grain farmers at a time when grain is selling at an all time high price!

Yep, business as usual from the gotdam politicians.
