After gaining independence in the 90s, many fields have developed in the country and one of the clearest examples is the modern higher educational system. To talk about myself, I study at Business And Technology University that was established in 2016. University’s mission is to offer its students unique educational experience, develop their leadership and entrepreneurship skills; give them motivation and opportunity to become a competitive work-force on both, local and international markets. Environment and study system are best suited for students, there are all sorts of conditions for their development.
In the first year at university, my coursemate and I took part in a startup demo day, where we had to present a startup idea and a business plan. We took the first place and were given a chance to take our startup further. It was a very big challenge and experience as well for me. So, if you decide to study in Georgia you will have a chance to attend various events, in addition to the basic study directions, such as MIT Global Startup Lab, NATO Autumn School and etc., where students have an opportunity to deepen their knowledge and expand their professional network.
Student life in Georgia is quite diverse and interesting. Along with studying at university, there are plenty of activities: dance and song clubs, sports championships between universities, events specifically for students to unwind, have fun and enjoy themselves. Furthermore, many interesting places are gathered together in Georgia where students can have exciting adventures. Wonderful mountains for those who are obsessed with hiking, beautiful seasides for people who enjoy swimming and tan and excellent Georgian cuisine for those who aspire to discover new flavours.
In the end I would like to say that in Georgia there are all the prerequisites for a student to gather a great an unforgettable experience, get a taste of real student life and of course get a high quality education.
